British Columbia plans to adopt daylight saving time on a permanent basis, putting an end to the twice-yearly time change. For Dr. Maude Bouchard, neuropsychologist at the HALEO Sleep Clinic, this decision could eliminate several negative effects of the time change, including an increase in accidents and certain heart problems observed after the transition. However, she points out that the majority of scientists recommend standard time, which is more in line with our biological clock.
